Frequently asked questions
- Does Vintique give my mall an online storefront?
- Yes. Every plan includes an optional public mall catalog. The operator enables it in Settings, and vendors choose which items to list. Item links preview the title, description, and published photo; share previews deliberately omit prices. Product metadata describes the item, but does not guarantee search placement or shopping results. Buyers browse the catalog and arrange local pickup; there is no online checkout.
- Can I cross-list a vendor's item to eBay, Etsy, Facebook Marketplace, or Whatnot?
- Yes — every plan includes marketplace cross-listing. From the item editor, generate a marketplace-ready draft listing for a single item — pricing pre-populated from comparable listings. Booth owners do it per item from their drafts queue; admins can bulk-generate across the inventory. Each draft is exported in the marketplace's expected format so you finish the listing on their site. Daily quota is plan-based and renews each morning.
- Does Vintique work offline at the counter?
- An already-open register can queue cash sales on that device during an outage and send them when the connection returns. Card readers and gift-card balance checks need a connection. Keep the register open and confirm queued sales have sent before closing out the day.
- Is there a Chrome extension and how do I install it?
- Yes — every plan includes our Chrome side-panel extension. You download a small ZIP from /extension, unzip it, turn on Developer mode at chrome://extensions, click Load unpacked, and pick the folder. The /extension page has the full step-by-step walkthrough plus sign-in and troubleshooting notes. Once installed, right-click any image on the web for a comparable-listings price suggestion straight from your Vintique workspace.
- Is there a free trial?
- Yes — every plan includes a 45-day free trial. You won't be charged until day 46, and you can cancel any time before then from your Settings page.
- What counts as an active vendor?
- An active vendor is a booth owner account that isn't archived. Plan limits are based on the number of active vendors in your mall; archived vendors don't count toward your limit.
- Does Vintique handle returns and refunds?
- Yes. Recorded returns adjust the dealer's payout and reporting. Cash refunds are handled at the register. With a separately operated card terminal, return the card payment through that terminal and record the refund in Vintique.
- Can Vintique charge booth rent automatically?
- Yes. Set each booth's rent and monthly charges post with emailed invoices. Track billed, collected, outstanding, and waived rent. Receipt-date reports show when payments came in, with references and a history of refunds, returned checks, and corrections. Dealers see their own balances in My Rent.
- Can I switch plans later?
- Yes. Open Settings → Billing to preview a change. Upgrades take effect after payment succeeds; downgrades start at renewal. Your active dealer count must fit the new plan. You can also switch from monthly to annual billing there.
- What happens after the trial ends?
- On day 46 your card is charged for the plan you picked at signup and your subscription renews. If you cancel before day 46 you won't be charged at all.
- Do you charge per transaction?
- For sales recorded with a separately operated card terminal, Vintique adds no per-sale fee to your subscription. Your card processor's fees still apply. Review processing terms for your chosen payment setup during onboarding.
- Monthly vs. annual — what's the difference?
- Annual billing gives you one free month — pay 11 months upfront and get the 12th free. You pick monthly or annual when you sign up. Already monthly? Switch to yearly any time in Settings › Billing — you pay the year up front, less credit for the rest of the month you have already paid for, and your billing date moves to that day. Going the other way, from yearly back to monthly, is an email: you have paid for the whole year, so we sort out the unused part with you rather than guess.
- How do I cancel?
- Open Settings → Billing in your mall and click Cancel. Your subscription stays active through the end of the current billing period and then ends with no further charges.
- How do storewide and per-booth sales work together?
- Run a storewide percent-off (say, 10% off everything for Memorial Day) and let individual booths set their own sale percent at the same time. The register stacks them in the right order automatically — vendor sale first, then storewide, then any cashier discount — and breaks each layer out separately on receipts and reports. Available on every plan.
- How does the live floor plan work?
- An internal live map for mall admins, built from the booth roster. Draw numbered booths, view dealer sales, and open a separate try to explore changes. Review the differences before applying a try to the live map, with an undo available after applying. The drawing does not change dealer or rent records.
- How do dealers add and manage inventory?
- Add an item in one form, with a photo when you have one. Finds from photo lookup or a marketplace link arrive as drafts to review before adding them to inventory. Dealers manage their own items; admins can search the mall's inventory and see item photos at the register.
- Is there a mobile app?
- Yes — the Vintique iOS companion app is included on every plan. Booth owners use it to check sales, manage inventory, and snap an Identify photo from the aisle for a price suggestion. Operators get the same dashboard and reports they use on the desktop, scaled for a phone screen. Pair a device with a one-time code from the web; no extra charge.
- Are switcher discounts available?
- If you're moving from ConsignPro, Quail Point-of-Sale, SimpleConsign, Ricochet, or another mall platform, reach out via the contact link on the Pro tier card above — we'll set you up with a discounted onboarding rate for your tier.
